Jess began her BellXcel career in 2010 as a Training Specialist. She has spent her entire career in education and knows that all children are entitled to engaging and meaningful learning experiences, which allow them to grow and excel. Jess oversees the BellXcel Learning and Innovation team in the design and development of cutting-edge educational solutions that are grounded in research and BellXcel's evidence-base.
Initially responsible for implementing professional development to staff in Massachusetts and Michigan, she grew to be a leading member of the BellXcel program design team. In her various roles she has been involved in the creation of many of the BellXcel’s program models and professional development offerings that have helped to expand BellXcel’s impact.
Jess was previously a 2007 Teach for America corps member serving in the Atlanta Public School system where she taught sixth grade mathematics. During the 2009-2010 academic year, she was a recipient of the Project GRAD (Graduation Really Achieves Dreams) "Exemplary Teacher Award" for her work in the classroom.
She holds degrees from the University of Vermont where she studied economics and political science. She currently lives in Massachusetts with her fiancé and still makes frequent trips back to the Vermont mountains.
