Macro Risk Advisors Supports BELL Scholars Through Charitable Trading Day
New York City, NY - January 29, 2014 - Today, BELL celebrates the generosity of Macro Risk Advisors (MRA), a leading provider of global market risk analysis and execution services for institutional investors. MRA hosted a charitable trading day event on December 17th, donating all commissions earned from stocks, options, and ETF trades. MRA's trading activity resulted in $68,750 to support BELL's programs in New York City.
"MRA's generous contribution will create access to educational opportunitiesthat our scholars would not have," said Salma Muro, BELL's Executive Director for the Tri-State Region. "It will help us provide scholars with academic and project-based learning opportunities, exposure to arts &culture, and individualized academic support in the subjects that their principals and teachers know they need it most."
In total, MRA raised $275,000 through commissions earned on its second annual charitable trading day, also donating to The Children's Storefront, iMentor, and LEDA.
"There is an urgent need at every stage of a child's educational development for proper support, both academically and emotionally. These inspiring organizations provide educational services in unique, yet extremely effective ways to the children with greatest need," said MRA CEO, Dean Curnutt.
BELL will join MRA to celebrating the success of its 2nd Annual Charitable Trading Day on January 29th. Event details follow.
