Parents, guardians, and families play an key role in the success of BellXcel scholars. Summer and afterschool programs powered by BellXcel and delivered by our partners, are provided at no cost to families. We are proud to support their efforts, in exposing their children to high-quality education all year-round.

Our model empowers partners with best practices to engage parents and guardians throughout the program. An Urban Institute study shows that participation in BELL Summer (now BellXcel Summer) had a positive and statistically significant impact on parents. Parents reported a 50 percent increase in the hours per week they engage in reading and other academic activities at home. Scholars spent fewer hours watching TV and playing computer games.
